I still can’t fathom how Arsenal got away with that foul. When the exact same thing happened to Manchester United’s keeper Lammens earlier this year, they ruled it wasn’t a foul. Now that it’s against Arsenal, suddenly it’s a foul. Make it make sense. Like my friend said today, the issue isn’t the foul itself — it’s the lack of consistency. One week it’s nothing, the next week it’s a penalty. It’s unfair to the players and honestly exhausting to watch. I can’t even be fully mad though. If Fernandes had buried that chance he had, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. And I don’t get why you chose to keep playing it out in the last minute until the keeper narrowed the angle, took the shot, and then accepted the punishment. That’s how you end up with an undeserved loss when you’re fighting relegation. Anyway, it’s done. Congrats to Arsenal on the league.
