An aberration in the anime/manga world is always beautiful. For example, the original isekai trope when it blew up was truck-kun — instant death, new world. Then we got aberrations like Re:Zero, where the MC just walks into the isekai, or Shangri-La Frontier where it’s a video game, or Sword Art Online where he’s innocently trapped in one.
I might be wrong, but these little aberrations show how the anime/manga verse keeps evolving. And boy, I can’t help but love how different these shows are. They might look cliché at first glance, but the fact that they refuse to do it the normal way? That’s all I need to get hooked from episode/chapter 1.
