Sorry for the long response, but I'd be curious to hear what you think, and any specific skepticisms you have about the current "coin it" meta.

I would imagine we share some of the same skepticisms of the current approach to coins, and we're hopeful we can bend it in a different direction. I also think that long-form writing can be much more evergreen than images, short-form video, or broadly things that do well in a social feed. And we're excited to gauge whether readers would be excited to support and help elevate writing that deserves to last. I'd also caution that what we start with probably won't hit this mark & it'll probably take some experimentation to find something compelling for readers & writers.

100%. I think a lot of people burn out writing on the internet (myself included) bc they end up writing for other people, not themselves. Very excited to dig further!

We're planning on shipping coins on Paragraph in the next month or so, and exploring the idea of rolling out early access to a group of Alpha writers - let us know if this sounds interesting? There's some great poetry on Paragraph! (cc @arjantupan)
