Coinbase has launched a new platform that allows individual investors to participate in public token offerings before tokens are listed for general trading. Monad is the first project to offer its token through this platform. Key features of the offering: The token-sale window is about one week. Investors must be fully registered and eligible on Coinbase. Allocations are determined by an algorithm, aiming for broad and fair distribution. Purchases will be made in the stablecoin USD Coin (USDC). Importantly, as of now, the token is not yet tradable on Coinbase’s regular exchange. Token price: US $0.025 per MON. Amount on sale: Up to 7.5 billion MON (which is 7.5% of the initial supply of 100 billion MON) in the public sale. Bid limits for participants: Minimum bid of US $100 and maximum bid of US $100,000 per participant. If fully subscribed, the sale could raise around US $187.5 million (i.e., 7.5 billion × $0.025) and implies a fully diluted valuation of approximately US $2.5 billion.
