Spot on take by @redphone, but I’d go one step further but splitting it into: 33.34% scouting ideas worth bookmarking 🔖 33.34% revisiting those bookmarks to go deeper 🤔 33.34% writing or creating something from the ideas that resonated the most from what you’ve learned 📝 Leaving you with 0.2% left over, which you should use to treat yourself to something nice 🤌

X reached out to me, saying we violated some ToS by selling data and selling some things that bypassed API keys. We don't do that, never did, never will. They linked directly to my open source code as the reason for deletion. Code I didn't even mostly write, was hacked together from other OSS stuff They said they'd get off our back if we paid $50k/mo for the Enterprise license We pay $1k/mo for the yellow check and $200/mo for the dev license Why would an enterprise account change my ability to publish open source code? It was extortion, plain and simple, and it shouldn't be legal I don't want to be part of a system like that. It's everything I stand against. Debating whether to make this a legal issue or not

Looks cool! Not sure if this is doable, but if you could save to castmark from the action menu under individual posts, it'd be especially powerful

Social media time should be 50/50: → 50% scouting profound ideas worth bookmarking → 50% revisiting those bookmarks to go deeper If you never revisit, the algo is winning at DDOSing your 🧠

Lol. Such a great helmet 😅🙏 Lots of my life experiences sucked, but I couldn't have made it anywhere without them... in retrospect, the hard times almost always = the unlock for the good times

The cost of a tuition in the markets is far lower than the cost of modern day education. Find your edge, think new thoughts, create your narratives. Stay hungry.

2/ When I totaled my car in a freak accident, only the anger spurred me on, drove me to consume every scrap of financial knowledge I could find (anywhere I could find it). I read about it incessantly, and when I wasn't reading, I was devouring dozens of podcasts a day at 2x. I took a second job (often working until 2:30 a.m.) to get cash to invest, and I started trading... I traded recklessly (horrendously) at first, but I was in the game (paying my market tuition). No loss could make me quit because the anger was always there, burning like Waymo tires, just utterly unquenchable fuel. "You gotta make anger your best friend," Goggins says. There's a temptation to push it away, to view it as negative and "unbalanced" and dangerous. But what if that’s just the scared little boy inside? Your anger is undeniable. It’s a gift. Use it. Feed it. Then, transmute it into the life you know you’re meant to live.

1/ I didn’t claw my way out of poverty and debt because I found peace. I got out because I was f*cking angry. I was angry I'd let it happen to myself, angry I went to bed hungry, angry everyone seemed to have things I didn't, angry others learned about finance when they were young, angry banks got bailouts and used them as bonuses for CEOs, angry I didn't have healthcare… I chewed stale bread for dinner (rationing my butter). And there were all these smiling people everywhere I looked. They had shiny yoga pants, drank $9 yerba mates, ate fish, traveled, guzzled wine, and dallied. I knew they weren’t any smarter than me (a lot didn’t seem to have a single original thought in their heads). So what were they doing that I wasn’t? The world of money was draped in gauze. It was a game, and I didn’t have the rulesheet. 🧵

At very high levels, I see decentralization everywhere: - Media shifting from centralized orgs to individuals - Open-source education - At-home medical tests and treatments - Use crypto to be your own bank - Ethereum and Solana apps as an alternative to Apple and Google appstores, etc.

Decentralization sounds like a “crypto thing” but it’s actually a massive megatrend that will affect every layer of society By solving the Byzantine General’s problem, bitcoin gifted us a roadmap for collaborating with strangers (and even enemies) Mining + incentives = a playbook for replacing centralized orgs with open networks It’s a shift from punishment to rewards A treasure map for turning companies into protocols Eventually, most of the world will work for those protocols, not people

I’ve been long crypto 12+ years, and I’ve never felt such a massive disconnect between bullish news and token prices Seems like there’s an announcement of a new TradFi company integrating crypto every few hours Every possible point of friction (on-ramping, regulatory clarity, DEX access, etc.) is getting eliminated This is exactly what the calm before a mania looks like

Don’t disagree. Dead internet theory is just gaining steam. The difference now, tho, is I’m actively questioning everything on X. That wasn’t the case before since bots used to be easy to detect. Now, it’s genuinely difficult so I question the authenticity of literally every post I see. Basically, the internet is forcing my mindset to be radically skeptical, and I feel it in a tangible way.

We can no longer verify sources or distinguish manipulated images/vids/content. Truth still exists but it's crowded out by noise...
