Last week in part one of this series we examined what we believe could be one of the most important shifts in DeFi, intent-centric protocols. Intent-centric protocols have the potential to make using blockchains much simpler: instead of figuring out every step of a transaction, you just say what you want to happen, and the system takes care of the rest. But there’s still a missing piece. While these systems are good at understanding what you want, they don’t handle when it should happen. Right now, that timing is usually managed by external bots and services, which can be unreliable or require trust. This is where Reactive Contracts come in. They allow smart contracts to automatically watch for changes on the blockchain and act when the right conditions are met, without needing outside help. When combined with intent-based systems, this creates a more complete solution: you set your goal, and everything else, from timing to execution, happens automatically on-chain. Read more 👇

Reactive x DIA: Bringing Price Feeds to Reactive Network We're happy to share that we have now integrated DIA price oracles into Reactive Network, introducing an on-chain price feed for REACT/USD Blockchains cannot directly access off-chain data such as CEX market data and must rely on oracles to bring this information on-chain. By integrating an oracle price feed for REACT/USD this now enables Reactive Contracts and other smart contracts to use $REACT price as an input to trigger actions, track prices, add REACT price data to DeFi applications and much more! Liquidation Protection: Designing Around the MEV Funnel As we prepare for the first fully on-chain liquidation protection, utilizing Reactive Contracts and enabled by ReactDEFI, we're taking a look at the problems caused by liquidations in our three-part series. In this second-part we're examining the effects caused by the pursuit of MEV (Maximal Extractable Value), turning liquidations from a necessary fail-safe event into a system for value extraction.
