The “minute suites” lounges (free hour with priority pass) are so much nicer than almost any US airport lounge. Delta One is nicer, 2-3 of the AA/BA intl business/first at JFK, and maybe a few others, but centurion is basically packed, and AA/UA clubs are mid at best, often packed. Delta SkyClub is ok when empty.

If you want to go high end, the zojirushi insulated/instant pots are the best.

Fun video with a practical example of iOS app reverse engineering. I spent a week once a few years ago reverse engineering the private API signing logic of an app I was using that didn't (still doesn't) have a public API. Have been using their private API ever since! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW3jL2gI9IE

Yeah, it is a city I’d go to if I have to but would never seek out.

I generally use pelican air 1615 1626 or 1637 cases, but I needed a second piece of luggage mid trip. Also really want something w 4 wheels instead of two. The new pelican hc50 coming out this summer likely becomes my default.

Can probably bend it back into shape or take it to Lufthansa in June when I’m at ethcc but it is all so tedious. Rimowa is a bit more durable and way more places for repair, at 3-4x the price.

lol. I bought a second Lufthansa worldshop aluminum suitcase when I was in getting a replacement wheel for Delta broke. On the second flight with the suitcase checked as luggage, Icelandair put a big enough dent in the bottom that it won’t close. Submitted a claim and probably get a second free basically-wrecked case

Bringing a dog as booth babe at conferences seems to work pretty well. I wonder if a cheetah would tolerate a public environment like that.

Consensus Toronto was pretty crap this year — Consensus HK is markedly better now. They should have just had it in VA/DC so it would actually be relevant, vs in a foreign country and place no one cares about.

Anyone going to Consensus, AIM London, Bitcoin 2025, ethc, WebX between now and end of August? Trying to figure out my travel schedule for the summer. September/early October looks super busy.

Farcaster team is cooking with gas right now. In the next 7 days: 1. Warpcast -> Farcaster rebrand 2. Auth addresses, no more “Open Warpcast on mobile” in mini apps 3. Spinning up a few targeted cohorts for creator onboarding 4. Launching 2 new ecosystems for wallet / mini apps 5. Another confirmed airdrop 6. Making progress on a big new thing, hopefully can share next week 7. A bunch of wallet / mini app QoL improvements

Leaving Austin after a very successful Natalism Conference, organized by some of my friends. Lots of amazing speakers, great side interactions, support from law enforcement (we had a tiny contingent of 7 antifa outside calling us nazis for wanting people to have children if they want!), and beautiful venue and city.
