When I started at @aztecnetwork , I was naive to think that building a private dapp is just a normal dapp and make everything private For eg if you have a fully private DEX, how does price discovery happen? How do you know volume? How do you track metrics like TVL.

We have composability across public state and private state. Similarly, composability to call 'private' functions and 'public' functions (i.e. functions that operate secretly and not respectively) This lets you keep some stuff in pvt (e.g. user's balance) but others in public!
