another chain? really? that’s usually the first reaction when people hear about ritual. but the thing is, ritual isn’t competing on speed. it’s rewriting what blockchains can even do
let’s break this down ⬎
✦ ok but… why another blockchain?
every big wave in crypto came from a new primitive, not only fast blocks yk
→ 2009: bitcoin let anyone send money globally without banks
→ 2015: ethereum brought smart contracts → composable finance
since then, most l1s have just been optimizing for throughput, not expanding what’s possible onchain. they scaled the old use cases… but didn’t get new ones
✦ where ritual comes!
ritual’s whole thing is:
> enrich what users can do onchain today to attract the users of tomorrow
it starts with ai × crypto, but it’s really about expressive compute. think of it as the first blockchain built to actually run AI inference, ZK proofs, TEE code, and web2 APIs, natively.
