I love exploring how we can continue to expand storytelling! I’ve been making these Legacy Portraits for a few years now - mostly of family. I’m really excited to bring this together as a project. I’m even more energized by the stories and people God will bring into the Polaroid Portrait Exchange.

Fun fact: WWJD bracelets actually started in my hometown of Holland, Michigan 🙌🏾 Back in 1989, youth leader Janie Tinklenberg at Calvary Reformed Church wanted a simple way to help students remember to ask, “What Would Jesus Do?” She and a local company created the first woven WWJD bracelets — not as a fashion trend, but as a daily reminder to follow Jesus. They eventually spread around the world! Anybody still have one? 👀 I’ve slowly started carrying a few with me again. Not to start conversations… But to end them. If I have a meaningful, Spirit-led conversation with someone, I’ll sometimes leave them with one as a small reminder that God is with them long after we part ways. I’ve got a handful packed for WNBA All-Star Weekend. It’s always exciting to see who God wants to give one to 🙏🏾🧡
