Today, a ceasefire was declared.
But twelve days of relentless attacks…
Twelve days of fear, destroyed homes, and sleepless nights
They won’t be forgotten so easily.
The sound of explosions still echoes in our ears, and the weight of anxiety still rests on our hearts.
Perhaps the children will smile again, but their eyes will forever carry the shadows of what they’ve seen.
Life may slowly return to its routine, but deep within us,
There will be scars that softly whisper:
We were a people who suffered, who cried, who held on to hope
And despite everything, still believe in peace. 8 replies
