City GPS often fails between tall buildings. Signals bounce, causing confusion. Researchers at NTNU built SmartNav as a solution. It merges corrected satellite data, analysis of signal waves, and Google's 3D city models. This hybrid approach proved extremely precise. In tests, it located positions within 10 centimeters. The innovation promises accurate, and affordable, navigation for cities everywhere.
