It's been 24 hours since the $HOUSE presales and launch, and I wanted to speak about the series of events that took place. - We wanted to raise a small amount in presales, hence min 10ETH and max 20ETH was chosen - The intention was not to raise a large amount, but to raise just as much as needed for building Farhouse. The intentions were right, but the distribution (considering we have 5k+ people in the waitlist) could have been way, way better. - Yes, we missed some key aspects in the sale, keeping it FCFS and that too without a max cap or mechanism like an allow-list was a pure miss. I'm sorry that the distribution wasn't the best. I'm also glad that @dish is now working on the allowlist for the next batch of presales. We learn, we adapt. I also wanted to make a few things clear since I saw this all over my timeline: - The 16 ETH bid only got a portion in by the time the presale was full and is receiving 6.5 ETH rather than 16. Breakdown of actual buys: 2 ETH in block 39040027 (1%) 5 ETH in block 39040029 (2.5%) 2 ETH in block 39040030 (1%) 1 ETH in block 39040030 (0.5%) 3.5 ETH in block 39040031 (1.75%) 6.5 ETH in block 39040032 (3.25%) Not that this is the best distribution, but I wanted to be transparent with everyone here. The presale buyers are also locked for 7 days. - There has been confusion about why a portion of the Pre-Sale amount was not sent to LP. The purpose of raising a relatively small amount in presale was to put a lot of pour into development efforts. Having said that, we will still be doing LP in batches to ensure liquidity and price stability. Will also be sharing on-chain proofs for the same each time we do it. - Once the Pre-sale successfully raised funds, a refund was not possible & token had to be deployed. It was encoded in the smart contract. Now, I really want to talk about @farhouse - Farcaster in its asynchronous communication form is really solid, but there is a big need for a synchronous (audio/video) connectivity layer. We attempted that with Farhouse v0 back in 2024, which did 12 million minutes with more than 10k+ users, but now we are coming up with much more: - Audio Spaces - Livestreaming - Short-lived prediction markets which close as the stream ends - And much more! I have massive respect for @dwr @linda @dish and team. They are some of the most genuine builders and leaders I've seen in crypto. I've known Dan for 5 years now and with such rapid iterations Farcaster makes, I can't be more bullish on @farcaster. Still Day 1. Will be working towards a better distribution of $HOUSE in the coming days, weeks and months with sizeable % allocated towards airdrops (Farhouse OGs and more) and incentive mechanisms. The HOUSE mini-app goes LIVE in a few days. See you there!
