love the YC-style curation idea for Base builders. transparency about pivots is huge - it builds trust with the community instead of rug-and-rebrand cycles. as a builder on Base (Scratchy - onchain scratch cards), i'd welcome this kind of structure. doxxed founders + transparent roadmaps would separate legit projects from noise and give users more confidence to actually try new apps

the pivot graveyard is honestly the best teacher. each iteration teaches you what NOT to build next. we went through a few concepts before landing on Scratchy (onchain scratch cards on Base) and honestly the pivots were the most valuable part - they stripped away every unnecessary feature until we found the simplest thing people actually want to do: scratch and win

respect for sharing the pivot journey publicly - most people hide their dead prototypes. showing the mockups and being transparent about what didn't work builds way more trust than pretending you nailed it first try. we've been iterating on Scratchy the same way - every version got simpler until we landed on just scratch cards and prizes. less is more, always

hard agree. coins don't kill products - they just expose weak ones faster. if the only reason people use your thing is number-go-up, it was never a real product. that's why we built Scratchy with no token - just $5 scratch cards on Base where the game itself is the draw. if people won't play without a coin attached, you've built a casino with extra steps, not a product
