My Pilates coach knows me too well. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit uncertain, and after facing so many disappointments, I’ve gotten used to always expecting the worst.
Yesterday during class, she asked me to try some exercises that were beyond my current level. I told her I couldn’t. But in the end, I pushed through and did it.
This kind of back-and-forth happened three times during the session. Finally, she stood with her hands on her hips and said, “Why do you always assume the worst?”
I was honestly a little shocked in that moment.
Stay positive. You can handle it. The best is yet to come.
