Union as the “IBC layer” for non-Cosmos chains
In the Cosmos ecosystem, there’s something called IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication).
It lets Cosmos chains talk to each other directly no middlemen, no trusted relayers just chains verifying each other.
That’s cool.
But IBC doesn’t work outside Cosmos.
It’s kind of like having walkie-talkies that only talk to other walkie-talkies made by the same brand.
Now imagine we wanted Ethereum, Arbitrum, Cosmos, Solana even Bitcoin to talk to each other just like Cosmos chains do.
That’s where Union comes in.@union_build
is bringing the IBC experience to the entire modular world.
How?
Instead of needing a special protocol like Cosmos IBC, Union uses light clients + zero-knowledge proofs to let one chain verify what happened on another.
So Ethereum can now “hear” from Bitcoin.
Arbitrum can react to something on Cosmos.
Solana can receive a message from a rollup.
And it all happens trustlessly, verifiably no relayers, no multisigs, no shortcuts
