Running massive AI models directly inside an EVM is like stuffing a rocket engine into a pocket watch, it just doesn't work.
So how do smart contracts actually call AI model? Here is how Ritual make it happen:
1️⃣ The smart contract sends out an AI inference request (using an interface like CallbackConsumer).
2️⃣ The request gets picked up by Infernet, a decentralized network of offchain compute nodes.
3️⃣ These Infernet nodes handle the heavy lifting and run the AI model (LLM, ONNX, etc.) entirely off chain.
4️⃣ The AI final output is routed right back to the smart contract.
Just like that, your smart contract can use the AI output to execute its next onchain logic, they finally become genuinely "smart" capable of real decisions, predictions, and automated analysis!
