At some point, you think your dad messed up. Later on, you think, nah, it was your mom who didn't do enough. But when you really grow up, you realize neither of them knew what was right. They both fought their own battles, and you ended up being the result of that unfinished war. After a certain point, it's not really on them anymore. It's on you now: do you keep carrying those wounds, or do you start healing them?
