it’s 100% a scam lol. it also sets the narrative for men that “no makeup makeup” is better than a full face of makeup, because they think they have nothing on and look down on women who do the latter another thing that bothers me about it is you need to have absolutely flawless skin to achieve the clean girl look, which the influencers have because of the amount of procedures they get done bts but don’t always talk about. a good chunk of women wear makeup to hide scars, uneven skin tone etc in the first place
