thing is i really am a pessimist when it comes to relating ML tricks to AGI. but i’m much more optimistic on the cryptography side and that timeline is super exciting! 😊

Probably in the next five to ten years, but it will be a tug of war based on balancing speed in practical applications of it vs generalized fast FHE. The holy grail is still  looming in the horizon. I liken the race to all the specialized ML techniques vs AGI.
