@quincredible
It's been a bit less than a month, last time I wrote about this:
84% of coins were seeing 0-10 trades
Today it's 95.7%
I imagine (like most coin launchers) this moves even closer to 100% as TBA loosens their restrictions on the waitlist and the number of coins potentially goes parabolic
The top 10 coins were seeing 50% of total volume
That number has dropped to around 42%
Considering the total number of coins has nearly doubled.. I mean basically it's what I'd expect
Again, I'm not saying it can't work for some creators. Based on these numbers though, the vast majority of creators are seeing near zero rewards. I know there's nuance to explore there about how much of the content is spam or one-off posting with no real commitment, but this is difficult to measure and there's no real reason for the platforms to do so.
The bullposting about how this changes everything, and how the world is ready to be rewarded for their valuable content continues.
I remain a skeptic. Is it better than selling sweat shop teeshirts on instagram? Maybe. Will it actually usher in a new era of creative abundance? Doubt.
