if we can make this work, if we can prove that open, collective funding can sustain real projects, then we can change how ecosystems and communities take care of their own. This is how public goods stay alive. This is how funding becomes perennial.

I think it might be closer to the logic of luxury. The disadvantage in pragmatism is not its shortcoming, plays as an advantage in creating desire.
