Crypto is entering its “infrastructure consolidation phase.” L2s are merging, bridges are becoming shared standards, and data availability layers are commoditizing. Just like cloud computing consolidated around AWS, Azure, and GCP, crypto will likely consolidate around 3–5 dominant ecosystems. The difference is that crypto remains permissionless, so the edges will always produce new challengers. The game never ends.
