i’ve been collecting architecture inspo from Australia where pretty much all the homes are narrow and long and everything happens in the backyard. the design of this one looks great but i have mixed feelings about the sitting area by the front door. - you have a full fledged backyard that’s more private. - the area is flat and the fence is high so not like you can do porch sitting and watch what happens on the street - the door is narrow and doesn’t make sense to be left open so the flow back into the house seems suboptimal. i get the appeal — it’s a cute space — but wondering how this could be utilized in a better way?
