Today, I was walking through a quiet park just after a light rain. I noticed a tiny bird hopping around near a puddle, and suddenly it stopped and looked right at me. Then—this is the wild part—it picked up a small, crumpled candy wrapper in its beak, flew up to a nearby trash bin, and dropped it in.
I just stood there thinking, Did that bird just outdo half the people I know in basic decency?
