Imagine a fish that looks like half a fish, flat, circular, and as heavy as a small car. That’s the Mola Mola, one of the ocean’s strangest creatures. These gentle giants drift near the surface, soaking up sunlight after deep dives. They eat jellyfish, sometimes by the hundreds, helping control those gelatinous blooms. Despite their size and awkwardness, they’re docile and often followed by cleaner fish nibbling off parasites. A living oddball, perfectly adapted to the open sea’s lazy rhythm.
