When we launched our x402 facilitator and SDK last year it was, at the time, the only solution to handling any ERC20 - by way of our innovative Prism proxy contract. Perhaps we inspired them, who knows; some months later Coinbase put out a similar approach using Permit2, which also works very well. We've upgraded our facilitator (v1.4) to incorporate the Permit2 approach to ERC20s, as well as completing support for the Upto scheme. The OG Prism approach to ERC20s remains available, of course. In fact, Prism will be evolving towards the expanded role it needs to play within our forthcoming privacy network.
