I’m Preston, aka The Buzz, the driving force behind Cyber Hornets and Web3 Comics.
Cyber Hornets is an original NFT collection (8,888 NFTs on Ethereum, minted in late 2021) inspired by Michael @Saylor's iconic Bitcoin tweet. After the original founders abandoned the project in early 2022, our dedicated community took control of all assets, including Discord, X, and smart contracts. Despite navigating a brutal bear market, we partnered with top Marvel/DC talent to produce our first comic book (available in physical and digital formats). However, progress stalled due to limited funding, market conditions, and legal uncertainties. 1 reply

In 2022, we established Web3 Comics LLC, a U.S.-based, tax-compliant company incorporated in Annapolis, Maryland. We also secured U.S. Trademark and Copyright protections for Web3 Comics™ and Cyber Hornets™. To diversify, we launched the Animus NFT collection, introducing action-posed PFPs and offering investors access to our physical comics. Unfortunately, the bear market and insufficient marketing funds slowed its momentum.
Our community remains resilient, with nearly 10,000 Discord members and a core group of ~50 active investors. I’m confident that as market hype returns, our “swarm” will re-engage, creating opportunities to incentivize activity (e.g., token rewards for X engagement). Personally, I’ve invested over $36,000 and countless hours into this vision. Our company holds ~10% of the Cyber Hornet supply in reserve, while I personally own ~3.5% of Cyber Hornets and ~5% of Animus NFTs. 1 reply
