the ability to say MORE with LESS is literally one of the most underrated skills out there.
like, if you can distill your thoughts into:
> a clean diagram
> 3 bullet points instead of 3 paragraphs
> one perfect sentence that hits different
the irony? i'm sitting here STILL wanting to write 2000 word long post about everything
so how do we actually get better at this:
> write the long version first, then brutally cut it in half (then cut again)
> ask yourself "can i show this instead of telling it?" → diagrams, examples, analogies
> read your stuff out loud, if you're losing breath, it's too long
> practice on x literally forces you to be concise, hahha I am still trying to do that
the goal isn't to be short for short's sake. It's to respect people's time while still hitting them with the full impact
