Everyone is different.
You should do what you feel is right for you and for the world, regardless of what others say because the world is far bigger, more absurd, and way weirder than you expect.
For most people, the right mindset should be this:
there are people who are way weirder than you, way poorer than you and if they are doing what they want to do, then why can’t you?
And the brutal answer is:
because I am fucking middle class.
The middle class is made to do chores for the upper class, and then use the lower class as a punching bag to feel good about itself because that’s exactly what the upper class does to us.
The uncomfortable truth is that people on the lower side of the spectrum are often there by the choice of their soul, while the middle class lives every day feeling like something is missing. That emptiness is the root of so much depression and anxiety.
Tell me, how many beggars have you seen depressed?
None, bruh.
They smile more in a single day than you have in an entire year.
