Many users found their Bitcoin Lightning Network wallet balances on Alby

The main reason? According to Alby's official Terms of Service update in March 2025:
To better manage long-term inactive accounts, the platform reserves the right to deduct the entire remaining balance from any account with no transactions for 12 consecutive months.
⚠️In simple terms: If you don’t move your funds, they assume you don’t want them anymore.
The logic? “Well, it’s your fault for not using your wallet for a year. So your money now belongs to Alby.”
