I think I suck at agentic coding. I am significantly less productive when using Cursor or Claude Code

I’m a little better at integrating Cursor into my normal flow but I find the back and forth discussion to not be as powerful as when I have to do it in Claude’s web app, for example. Something about the different context makes my understanding click better. I dunno 🤷

Kind of depends on what you are coding. Sometimes I’m faster writing stuff manually. Sometimes I move mountains with good prompts.

Agreed there is no such thing as a 100% AI written product.

That said, the more polished it is, the more likely I used AI in multiple rounds of improvement

I've never seen any polished products use 100% AI code. Functionality, perhaps.

Agentic coding is best done in spurts, with some old school manual coding in middle for finer results 

React component to make stuff good => 95% AI with some tweaking 

Writing tests => 80/20. Once you have good examples it can extrapolate rest and you can just delete / edit tests.
