🚀App update coming soon. After reviewing our app layout, we’re making some big changes. We’re reintroducing key Web3 features we previously held back and refining our profile design to better showcase your travel collectibles. Our MVP made check-ins quick and easy, and we’ve had hundreds so far. But now, it’s about more than just functionality—we want a profile that truly feels like a blockchain-powered travel passport, something worth opening just to admire your journey. We hope to achieve this by better communicating the blockchain passport vibe we’re after, as well as introducing a new map view. (See image) Note: Please ignore the repeated collectibles in this preview—this is just a quick Figma design. In the app, you'll see all your unique POAPs!

Did we expect the app to take this long? Definitely not! 😆 We haven’t shared much publicly, but the app has gone through several major redesigns based on feedback from our beta testers. There have been delays, and they’ve been more than just small tweaks. We got sidetracked by the interest from tourism and travel groups, which led us to stretch the app’s vision too thin. However, after a pivotal conversation with a friend and colleague, we’re on track and making progress for a January release to our Warpcast group chat. At the heart of it, we want POAP Global to be for meaningful travel collectibles that are an easy entry point into the POAP ecosystem. Instead of explaining NFTs to someone at a hostel, I want to show them a fun app for collecting travel memories. As they explore, they’ll naturally discover the deeper value of POAPs. Thank you for your patience! It’s been a rollercoaster, but we’re truly excited about what’s ahead. Steve

Day 14/30 of Building POAP Global Sneak peek at the new 3D map coming to our next update. Previously, map integrators like us were limited to Street View or 2D maps, but we're breaking new ground by being one of the first geo-location apps to harness the power of Gmaps 3D API.
