I've been saying the term public goods is misused for quite some time now. I worry that this push will bring the same confusion to open source. Both terms are morally neutral and just descriptive. But applying morality and being prescriptive, we open it up to social gamesmanship.

I think farcaster and nostr are the two most interesting approaches to solving what we all see as a problem. The interesting thing to me is the approaches seem to be coming from different ends. So I think you'd like it, or at least learn a lot.
