So… what is gas?
Gas is the small fee you pay to use the blockchain.
It’s the cost of using someone else’s computer to confirm your action.
When you send a transaction, thousands of computers (called validators or miners) check it to make sure it’s real.
They make sure you’re not spending money you don’t have, and that the data is correct.
Because they use electricity, time, and hardware to do this, they get paid,
and that payment comes from gas fees.
