🗣 Kazakhstan announces plans for a billion-dollar crypto reserve
Kazakhstan will create a national crypto reserve valued at $500M–$1B, using funds sourced from seized and returned assets. This includes crypto wallets repatriated to the state.
The fund will prioritize ETFs and crypto-company stocks, adopting a cautious investment profile. According to Timur Suleimenov, the central bank aims to avoid high-risk token exposure.
Launch timing: late 2025 or January 2026.
