Happy Tree Thursday! Sorry @bertwurst.eth, I took this photo before I knew you. I hope you get to play in piles of beautiful leaves one fall! When the /momiji and the Ichō (ginkgo) overlap, /japan becomes even more magical.

I just went on a little drive out towards the coast to do some photography because the lighting really nice and I captured some bishop Pines, which only grow and a few small places on the globe!!!🌎🤙

The the peninsula I grew up on is on the Pacific Continental plate and the San Andreas Fault line runs right up. The middle of tamales Bay separating the Point Reyes Peninsula from the rest of the United States on the continental plate… So the flora and Fauna are pretty distinct & diverse, since this peninsula has been traveling north over millions & millions of years!! Also it’s one of the few places that these bishop Pines grow, now I have to double check, but I remember when I was younger hearing that the only other place they grew was on a small island in Japan?🤔
