the effort stripe has put into making their books physically appealing is exceptional — we’re confident they will be among the most cherished pieces on our shelves for years to come. the information contained within those objects however can be represented in other, nontangible ways. have y’all considered making the digital representations of those works available alongside the physical, e.g. a hardcover is sold with accompanying epub and aax files it strikes us that putting an end to legacy media windowing is a good idea for progress 🌺

Paging @july to make him aware Tamara is now on Farcaster. Tamara, I, like others here are huge fans of what you and the team do over at Stripe Press. I’m curious what the review process is like when you’re considering adding a potential author to the label? How fully formed of a pitch needs to be in place and what are some best practices you’d recommend for those who want to apply and be considered?

1. What’s your favorite example of a post-publication community you’ve seen (reader groups, study circles, online communities like Farcaster) that extended the influence of a book from Stripe Press? 2. What other company/organization would you love to see launch a press someday and why?

If you go back to 3000 BCE clay tablets, maybe the Epic of Gilgamesh 4,000 years ago, and some Chinese scripture being some of the earliest written forms of writing. Do you still think that we're going to be writing and reading books 4,000 years from now?
