We wanted a breakout, we got a breakup. For the longest time, $clanker & $bnkr went hand in hand. Best friends. Partners. Clanker was THE token launchpad of Base. Bankr was THE AI agent of Base. I just told everyone to buy both. It was a simple narrative. It was true. No longer. Both teams will say they remain on good terms, but this is just theatrics. Our little ecosystem just fractured along VERY important lines. Partners are now enemies. Bagholders no longer support both. And Clanker WILL NOT go down quietly. The new owner of Clanker is balls deep in AI. Most likely this will end up in a bloody battle for mindshare & volume as both try to be THE launchpad AND THE AI agent of Base. You can no longer simply buy both, because 1 might end up at 0. So what do we advise our whale friends who are just dipping their toes on Base? Nothing. This could very well be the beginning of the first civil war on Farcaster. Chaos at a time when we needed stability the most. I know the whispers in your ears & the devils on your shoulder are hard to ignore, but I beg you @deployer to reconsider & recalculate. This will likely not be good for either project, Base nor Farcaster. Stick together, maintain stability & a cohesive narrative, or fork for +0.2% fees & chaos?
