Nanjing Road, Shanghai Neon spills like starlight on the street, A river of footsteps, loud and sweet. Shanghai hums beneath the night’s soft skin, Where dreams begin… and begin again. Billboards bloom in silver, gold, and flame, Each glow a whispe r calling out a name. I walk among a thousand passing faces, Yet find my own heart slowing in its paces. Somewhere, a hand lifts colors to the sky— Balloons that float like reasons not to cry. Small joy, bright joy, dancing overhead, Like childhood turning softly in my head. And in this crowd, this city never sleeping, I keep one moment quietly, worth keeping: A shimmering street, a breath of light so true— Nanjing Road… and me, and you.
