yeah that's the original issue, I can catch the new error being sent, but if I can't reshow the auth modal then the user will still end up being stuck. Let me know if you notice anything I will debug on my end as well. Thank you!

ah ok it seems like there is an issue with getToken showing the auth modal the first time, but not on subsequent calls, that's what I'm noticing at least, but will debug again later

it seems like there might be a compatibility mismatch between the miniapp-sdk (what we use) and minikit here cc @deodad

does sdk.quickAuth.getToken() invoke the signIn modal again? We don't use the signIn action in our mini app, just the quickAuth.getToken action I just tried dismissing the auth modal on the latest base app version and then going to a protected route (which should invoke quickAuth.getToken) and the auth modal doesn't show up and I'm in a stuck state still

Are you talking about the swap action? Yeah did that but it then your app ends up being a bunch of if else statements for key user flows 🤷

User is not authenticated, and can’t seem to bring up the auth modal again by calling sdk.quickauth.getToken base team said they were going to look into it

miniapp-sdk quickauth doesn’t work fully (user still needs to press confirm on a modal) and auth flow breaks when a user dismisses the connect button modal on base app also sdk.actions.swap is not supported on the base app

hi been heads down on something new. wanted to share some thoughts on building for creators and consumers in crypto the past ~3yrs there's roughly 10k (+/- 5k) real monthly transacting users in consumer crypto and their desire for new metas is insatiable for builders, this presents two possible outcomes: 1) (default) you build a thing and no one cares. no one uses it 2) you build a thing and it becomes a meta (hypersub experienced this briefly). people use it for a little while but eventually get bored. a new meta emerges and everyone moves on from here your options are: 3) go back to the drawing board 4) chase the new meta gaining traction is really hard and most builders don't want to give it up. so most chase, hoping their thing will eventually transcend the cycle and achieve breakout success by gaining adoption among a wider audience but outside of infra and trading, thats never happened. (fun thought experiments: why not? will it ever? if so, what are likely to be the causal factors?) so— 5) you can stay the course, keep grinding, and hope that the castle you've been building in someone else's kingdom eventually prospers or 6) exit 5 leads to burnout if you're bootstrapped and bankruptcy if you're vc-backed. hope is not a strategy (sorry) you can exit to a categorically different market, or to a different segment of crypto. the former likely means ai, the later means infra or trading. the problem is that you're late. the market has matured, incumbents have a lot of leverage, and its hard to differentiate we don't bear the risks and opportunity costs of becoming founders so that other men will come to our rescue. we do it because of an irrational belief in our own abilities. my advice: build where there's durable demand. sans infinite runway or corporate sponsorship you'll die otherwise i realize this sounds negative and pessimistic. sorry about that, not my intention. this message is for the builders who are trying to figure out where to invest their time and energy. its what i wish someone shared with me when i started if you're a founder and struggling with figuring out where and what to do next, hmu happy to share more 1:1 rooting for every single one of you 💛 https://farcaster.xyz/nonlinear.eth/0x96c90863

airdropping $30,000 worth of USDC pool to those who held CHEESE NFTs on 2024.5.16 23:41:31 - rarer editions got bigger airdrops. there will not be a $CHEESE coin drop, and this is the wrap to this project. 1. $30,000 is all we've received as company ( me and @peter ) from the Zora NFT fees 2. we originally wanted to launch $CHEESE coin to boost/showcase our main product ( @perl at the time), but as perl lost momentum, we tried launching new products and deliver $CHEESE upon finding product market fit 3. we are still trying with @revealcam but decided to airdrop the amount we got from NFTs as USDC without delaying it further. *we have been refunding all mint costs (not secondary sales) to those who asked so far this is not what we intended at first, but we want this airdrop to help you recover some of your purchase and wrap this project. thank you. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wws-Ymbd4W1PPY7bebcBKM6NAxYNn2ZcloQDKJIpIjU/edit?usp=sharing
