farcaster is dead 💀
the app as it is
i’ve been calling @dwr and @v for the bs they’ve done to this place and i don’t care if they call me toxic or divisive again (dan labeled me as one in the past)
what used to be a wonderful community of likeminded builders and users is now a degenerate casino with hundreds of thousands of worthless coins
i see no valuable conversations anymore, only people shilling their own ‘creator’ coins or other 💩 coins with 0 value
when my paid subscription expires in may 2026, i don’t plan on renewing it because i no longer support what the farcaster team is building atm
i haven’t been able to test @base.base.eth but i strongly suspect it’s the same bad farcaster (the protocol) ux
i’ll continue to post here every now and then but i’ll be focusing on building my x account and community there moving forward
