I don't often (or ever) get political but I do want to share this, more an emotional outing than politics really.
Without focussing on a specific conflict, party, country or entity I would like to say this.
Children should never, I repeat, NEVER be the victim of any conflict anywhere in the world, no matter who started it.
I say this as a father AND as a human being.
Children are the purest form of love there is, they are joyous playfulness. They never chose to be born where they were born and they sure didn't (yet) choose for conflict or war.
Anyone who can see children as collateral damage for the greater good, no matter what the circumstances, is heartless or has never held a child close.
Soldiers, terrorist, supporters of any regime who are willing to fight (and/or die) for their belief CHOSE this, a child doesn't even know what choices there are.
Please imagine for a second you have to carry the lifeless body of your son or daughter in your arms and then please try to convince me that it's okay. 3 replies
