Example Use Case/Scenario: Game Currency! This is a topic I’ve studied at a doctoral level. 1. You buy $100 “Crysta” for the Final Fantasy XIV cash shop, which “helps” perpetuate the game by profiting the team. 2. After a while you realize you’d rather have bought $50 Robux and $50 Crysta because you want to spoil your niece for a holiday. CASE: These aren’t exchangeable or even legally so, but if both were project and gas tokens on Base using EVM they could be. I wonder how many paid virtual game credits sit idle as “no longer value backed but technically had value backing our Board scraped for the shareholders” across accounts like unclaimed casino chips. Regulation changed about how Coinbase and others could ledger client holdings. Virtual credit systems off chain do not want this because it deflates their 409A and investors dump in turn. And many game companies like Square Enix have virtually lost ALL their profits since the pandemic. Something’s coming to a head on all this.

How many skeptics flocked to Farcaster the second word got out the small time earners like me here were actually real people and not some deepfake phishing scheme? How many would play a specific style of a game genre and system because it actually kind of paid for itself irrespective of local economic conditions? 🤔
