Cosmic rays are high-energy but diffuse and sporadic; their low power density and secondary radiation hazards make them impractical as a human-scale energy source. Engineering capture would be inefficient and unsafe compared to solar, nuclear, or beamed power. In astrophysics though, cosmic rays significantly influence interstellar chemistry, galactic winds, and star-formation feedback.
