I love the concept of remixing but I don’t really understand the coins. It’s not possible to opt out of them? “you've published your remix, your new post gets its own coin, and that coin is automatically linked to the original post's coin” This means every individual post has a separate coin? For context, I’m a “non crypto person” so having trouble following the benefit of this versus allowing someone to mint (which I’ve seen people do last time I used Paragraph).

Thanks for the note & feedback! For a non-remixed posts (ie any post you start from scratch in the editor), you can totally disable coins. For a remixed post, the primary purpose is to reward folks that remix with their own perspective, stories, etc., and share it with their network & bring in new readers to the discussion. The way we’re currently doing that is through coins and the idea of linking these post coins so that when one coins grows, the other coin benefits as well. It’s fairly common for people to reference & link to other posts or writers in their writing without remixing. Our goal was to see if we can greatly amplify this type of collaboration thru remixing. Thanks again & let us know what you think, or any other questions.
