My previous job, which I left in 2022, was working for a relatively small gaming company based in Berlin. I was in the publishing side of the business, but it always amazed me how much cash the business could burn through to produce what I felt were very poor games. All of the focus was on graphics, rather than game play. The company went out of business in 2023.

The total market cap of all crypto at the moment is $3.5 trillion, and in the next few months, the world’s largest economy at $26 trillion is about to prioritize this asset class (if crypto is made exempt from capital gains taxes, it's fair to call that prioritization). So, nothing that's going on in crypto right now really matters. It's all just quiet before the storm. I suspect Wall Street and Washington are about the change the rules of the crypto game so that they're winners. Everyone else will be playing catch-up soon. Say goodbye to the old narratives.

Tomorrow, I leave for Medellin, Colombia, where I will be meeting with the legal counsel that I've hired to help me navigate procuring a Colombia investor visa. I'll also be meeting with a real estate agent this week and I'll be staying in the El Poblado district, which is where I plan on purchasing a property. I'm looking for a 2- to 3-bedroom apartment and hope to complete the purchase by this summer (the US dollar is strengthening against the Colombian peso, so I have a financial incentive to slow the transaction, so long as that trend continues).

Fritz was very happy to see me when I got home from my trip. Fritz is an old dog, and he doesn’t like changes in his schedule. The dog sitter (my 81-year old dad) made too many changes for Fritz! 😄
