White House digital currency chief David Sacks announced that the Trump administration’s digital currency task force has prioritized evaluating the creation of a Bitcoin (BTC) reserve and developing a regulatory framework for stablecoins.

Along with the announcement, Senator Bill Hagerty introduced the Payments Stablecoin Transparency Act, which would require 1:1 backing by the U.S. dollar and liquid assets.
