🚨 Alexey Pertsev to Be Released from Prison 🚨 Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev has announced that he will be released from prison on February 7, 2025, and will be placed under electronic monitoring https://x.com/alex_pertsev/status/1887523522488283488 🔎 A quick recap of past events: 📌 In August 2022, Alexey Pertsev was arrested in Amsterdam after the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned Tornado Cash, accusing it of facilitating the laundering of crypto stolen by North Korean hackers. 📌 In March 2024, a court found Pertsev guilty of laundering $1.2 billion and sentenced him to 64 months in prison. And what about Storm and Semenov? 🤔

After all, what’s a crypto gathering without a bit of swag? 😁 One of the highlights was hosting our own 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽, where we brought together lawyers and startup founders to discuss essential topics like crypto regulation and emerging trends like memecoins. It was an engaging and unique event that set itself apart from the rest of the conference!
