A busy day deploying things in the $rips-verse. We now have a brand new, shiny token consignment system and we fixed a number of bugs token that should lead to fewer problems purchasing packs. More to come!
Sometimes when you are building, you don’t quite get it right. That’s okay though - it’s a journey, not a destination.
It’s a good day to build something.
I want to shout out to @dish, @linda, @dwr and the entire team and @skycastle for all the support, advice and love they've given us. We've come out not unscathed but in a much stronger position to actually build and move forward. So much more to come now!
Working on AI Agents forced me to lean into AI for coding in general, which has been a great thing. Cursor+Claude is a great combo, especially the new MCP support. One thing its really highlighted for me, though, is that AI is not ready to replace developers at any level. You need experience to guide and understand agent-produced code. The only way you get that experience is working your way up through the trenches. AI doesn't replace truly understanding how systems work. It does give you a huge productivity boost though!
Starting now, $RIPS will be included in @ripsapp mystery packs and a couple of others - they'll start showing up later today. We will be buying $RIPS for packs at market rates just like every other coin. Our next legendary drop will also feature $RIPS, legendaries will come from our Dev Buy so you will see some transfers to our smart contract for those. I would like to publicly apologize to @jake and @kondo for the swap feature in @ripsapp being so obviously similar to Kondo. We had always intended a swap feature and we are huge fans of Kondo, I think we just got carried away fanboying it - this is not cool and I will take the blame for this. Swaps in Rips is definitely not a replacement for Kondo - it lacks features of Kondo, only works with limited coins, and has definitely not been executed with the same skill as Kondo. Huge shoutout to Kondo and congrats on making it back to #1 - well deserved!
